"When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things -- not the great occasions -- give off the greatest glow of happiness." - Bob Hope
My daughter, Marisa, took this picture of the toy doll I made for a friend of mind. I loved making it because I am a kid at heart. I used the doll pattern Emily Winfield Martin created, from A Black Apple, that was shared on the Martha Stewart Show. The face is my own creation and was painted using some fabric pens and acrylic paint. I just love the acrylic paint extender---it helps the paint glide on the surface so much easier so you have better control. I added the socks and a hair felt flower as finishing touches.
