Life is a Strawberry Cake - Birthing Angels Crafts

Youth has no age. - Pablo Picasso

If I were to give you a Birthday cake, it would be as big as a trampoline and as long as a queen's dining table.  I love you dear daughter. -  Mom

My daughter recently celebrated a birthday---so to honor her birth, I created a strawberry cake (her favorite).  We added vintage ballerinas to the top of the cake and I served it on top of the vintage cake stand.  Now that I reflect on that day---the choices I made for the cake, signify the joy and love I feel towards my daughter.  I have danced my way through life with her along my side.  She has inspired me---both as a person and in my creativity, loved me and made my life magical---more than I could have ever imagined.

Although, I could not make the cake as big as a trampoline, it was made with love.  That is why I say that "Life is a Strawberry Cake" because it has the the goodness and the love put into it as I have for my daughter.

Doing What You Love - Birthing Angel Crafts

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.  - Wayne Dyer

What do you love?  Myself, I love the early morning---waking up and hearing the silence---the wonderfulness of a new day---full of new possibilities.  Gratitude for the health and well-being of my life, my family, my spirit and the creativity that bubbles inside of me.

I love wandering through bookstores---new and old---and finding magazines and books that inspire me to be my highest self both in life and creatively.  Wayne Dyer's quote above was used intentionally as he is a person that inspires me to live a life that is lighter and focused on the present moment.

I love Spring and the rebirth of the earth and myself from the hibernation of winter.  The pale and bright shades of color that begin to dominate in my home and my clothing.  The sunny day outings to Antique and Craft Fairs with my daughter and sisters.  Rummaging through garage sales and vintage stores.

Now, what do you love?  I would love to hear what inspires you in life and creatively.

Create a Vision for Your Life - Birthing Angels Crafts

Vision without a task is only a dream. A task without a vision is but drudgery. But vision with a task is a dream fulfilled. - Anonymous

I first heard about vision boards on Oprah.  The book, The Secret, revealed---the law of attraction---and how you have the power to create the life you desire.  Vision Boards are a place where you can collect pictures, affirmations, etc. of the life you want to attract into existence.  Placing the Vision Board in a place where you can see it daily, will help to remind you as well as tap into the law of attraction---to bring and manifest the life you desire.

I share this with you because this is the reason why my sister and I created our version of the Vision Board.  We noticed that our desires changed or became more fine tuned, so we had to keep revising our Vision Boards.  So instead, we made Vision Boards with magnets that makes it easier to revise our desires to attract the exact people or circumstances into our life.

We love vintage and repurposing---so we used old windows, took out the glass and added metal sheeting.  The magnets stick beautifully to the metal and it makes it so much easier to add or fine tune desires on our Vision Boards.  We have two Vision Boards for sale for $69 each, plus shipping.  One is pale bluish-grey color and one is white.  Both Vision Boards come with 4 magnets.  If interested, please email us at birthingangelscrafts@yahoo.com.  We accept Paypal.

A Crow's Eye View - Birthing Angels Crafts

"One crow, sorrow, two crows, joy"- Ashe

I love crows.  Crows are resourceful, resilient and are leaders.  Resourceful:  I've watched crows crack a walnut by dropping it from high in the air to the cement/asphalt below.  Resilient:  I've never seen a flock of crows fly south for the winter.  Leaders:  I have observed small birds follow crows around to eat the crumbs left behind.

I believe life is a mirror as I have tried to incorporate these same characteristics into my own life ---some with more success than others.

So as a tribute to crows, my sister and I have created two chalkboards in the shape of crows.  Each crow has a strong wood base and the crow can be removed from the base for easy writing.  We have included two pieces of chalk that are tucked into the pink bow (that pink bow gives it a Shabby Chic look---don't you think?)  Each crow is $48 plus shipping.  If you are interested or have questions, send us an email on birthingangelscrafts@yahoo.com.  We accept Paypal.
